Terms of service

Who you are buying from

usedECUs, operated by Aivars Dmitrijevs, Skolas iela 4, Mētriena, Madonas novads, LV-4865, Latvia. Personal identity code (second part): 11712. E-mail info@usedecus.com, phone +371 26115270. We are an online shop; there is no counter to visit.

What we sell

Used parts, taken from cars we buy and dismantle ourselves. Every listing is a single physical part that is on our shelf, photographed as it is. When it is sold, the listing goes. Unless a listing says otherwise, parts are original manufacturer parts removed from a vehicle. They are not new, not reconditioned, and not sold with manufacturer packaging.

Prices

All prices are in euro. usedECUs is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to the prices shown. For deliveries within Europe the price includes delivery. For the United States, Canada, Japan and Australia a shipping charge is added at checkout. Import duties and taxes charged by your own country are not included and are paid by you.

If a price is obviously wrong — a decimal point in the wrong place — we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than send the part. We will write to you first.

How an order becomes a contract

You place the order and pay. We send an acknowledgement, which confirms we received the order but is not yet acceptance. The contract is made when we confirm dispatch. Before that we may decline an order if the part turns out to be damaged, has just been sold elsewhere, or the price was wrong. If we decline, you get your money back in full and we will say why.

Making sure the part fits

The number on the part decides, not the model name. The same car model is often built with several different versions of the same part. Please compare the number from your old part with the number in the listing before ordering. If you are not sure, write to us before you buy — send a photograph of the old part and your vehicle registration number, and we will tell you whether what we have fits. That costs nothing.

Delivery and risk

Delivery times, costs and customs are covered in our Shipping policy, which forms part of these terms. Risk in the part passes to you when it is delivered to you or to someone you nominated. If you arrange your own carrier, risk passes when we hand the part over to them.

Returns and guarantees

Set out in full in our Refund policy, which also forms part of these terms.

What we are responsible for

If we fail to do what we promised, we are responsible for loss that follows naturally from that failure, limited to the price you paid for the part plus postage where we are at fault. We are not responsible for fitting or removal labour, diagnostic time, towing, hire cars, lost earnings, or damage caused by a part being fitted incorrectly or by another fault in the vehicle. Fitting of used parts should be done by someone competent to do it.

None of this limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Nothing in these terms affects the rights you have as a consumer under the law of Latvia or of your own country.

Things outside our control

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by something genuinely outside our control — strikes, carrier failures, customs holds, extreme weather, war or sanctions. If such a delay lasts more than 30 days, either of us may cancel the order and you get a full refund.

Export restrictions

We do not ship to Russia, Belarus or Türkiye, and we will not take part in any arrangement to route parts to a destination under sanctions. We declare every parcel at its true value.

This website

The text and photographs on this site are ours. Please do not copy the listings or the photographs onto another shop. You are welcome to link to us. We work to keep the site accurate but cannot promise it will be free of error or always available.

Complaints and applicable law

If something has gone wrong, write to info@usedecus.com. We answer every complaint, normally within two working days. These terms are governed by Latvian law and the courts of Latvia have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of your own country, nor your right to bring a claim there. Consumers in Latvia may refer a dispute to the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (www.ptac.gov.lv).

Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
