Refund policy
If the part is faulty or not as described
This is our mistake and we carry the cost of it. Write to info@usedecus.com with your order number and a photograph of the part, including the number stamped on it. We will send a return label or reimburse your postage, and once the part is back you may choose a full refund or a replacement.
Faulty means: the part does not work or works badly; the part number is not the one in the listing; the part is damaged in a way the photographs did not show; or the part was damaged in transit.
Every part we sell is used and is photographed as it is. Marks, scratches, faded paint and ordinary wear visible in the photographs are part of what you are buying, not a defect.
If you changed your mind
If you are buying as a consumer you may cancel within 14 days of receiving the part, without giving a reason. Tell us by e-mail at info@usedecus.com before the 14 days are up, then send the part back within 14 days of telling us.
On a change-of-mind return the cost of sending the part back to us is paid by you. For a heavy part this can be a significant amount, so please check the part number before ordering — we confirm fitment beforehand free of charge.
We refund within 14 days of receiving the part back, or of proof that you have sent it, whichever comes first, to the same payment method you used.
You may inspect and test-fit a part as you would in a shop. If the part has been installed and used, painted, drilled, cut, re-coded or otherwise altered, it has lost value and we may reduce the refund accordingly, or decline the return where the part can no longer be resold.
Our own 30-day fitment promise
Beyond what the law requires: if within 30 days of delivery the part turns out not to fit your car, write to us. We will take it back and refund the price of the part, even after the 14 days above have passed. Return postage is yours, and the part must come back in the condition it went out in.
Your rights by law
Nothing here takes away rights you have under Latvian and European Union consumer law. As a consumer you have a statutory right to a remedy if goods do not conform to the contract, for two years from delivery, under Section 13 of the Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Law. During the first year it is for us to show that the part conformed when it left us. How that applies to a used part is a matter of what could reasonably be expected of that part, at that price, in the condition described.
If we cannot settle a complaint between us, you may take it to the Consumer Rights Protection Centre in Latvia (www.ptac.gov.lv) or to the consumer body in your own country.
Business buyers
The 14-day cancellation right and the consumer guarantee apply to consumers. If you buy for a business, those statutory consumer rights do not apply. Our 30-day fitment promise does, and so does the first section: if we sent the wrong part or a faulty one, we put it right.
What we do not cover
Our responsibility is limited to the part itself: repairing it, replacing it, or refunding what you paid, plus postage where we are at fault. We do not cover fitting or removal labour, diagnostic time, towing, hire cars, lost earnings, or damage caused by fitting a part incorrectly or by another fault in the vehicle.
Used electronic parts, control units especially, often need coding to your car by a specialist. That work is not included in the price, and a part that has not been coded is not a faulty part.
How to start a return
Write to info@usedecus.com with your order number and what is wrong, attach a photograph of the part and of the number on it, and wait for our reply with the return address. Please do not send anything back before writing to us.
